The Mae Sot Study Grant Committee

In 2009 we asked a small group of Karen friends, some of whom we helped study in our Leader-Intern Program, to work with us to find refugees suitable for study grants.

In this program wanted to help the very poor who without our support would not be able to attend high school.

We felt the Karen themselves, having very good contact in the refugee community, and knowing well their people would be in a better position to find and mentor the best candidates.
