Chin Co-Workers

Tom & Liz first visited the Chin in Delhi in 1999. There they learned, that if they reallt wanted to help the Chin, they should travel to Aizawl. The capitol of Mizoram State. We went there the following year.

After the demonstrations of Aug. 8, 1988 (8888) in Burma, some Chin students fled to Mizoram. At the time the area needed teachers, and so we were fortunate to meet some of these teachers, and to enlist their aid for organizing a program to support education for Chin refugees.

These people are organized into several committees, and help us with transfer and distribution of funds, and with interviewing and mentoring students.
